Hamilton's Gap

Site Information

Hamilton's Gap is located toward the top of the Manukau South Head.

Continue beyond Matakawau, headed for Manukau Heads light house and take the next road to the left, Hamilton road.

Launch locations are to both right and left of the gap, the better prospect being to the right immediately along from the toilet block.

This site will often work in light conditions when the wind is too light to fly at Karioitahi.

The farmer who owns the land on the left of the gap, is not keen on unauthorised access. I know, because I got major talking to one day...
