Speedriding / Speedflying Down south

Hi all.

Just a quick word to any pilots that might be coming down to the Wanaka region with the intention of going Speedflying from Treble Cone.

We've been having some issues in the past related to over use, speeding (in cars) and being close to stock as well as road landing issues.  We've just had  a bit of a problem with speedwing pilots turning up and landing all over the road during the morning rush up the ski field road.  To avoid these problems please respect the following and if you are down in Wanaka wanting to fly either touch base with the local pilots or seek me out.

  1. NO ROAD LANDINGS! - At present the only time that road landings are able to be made is outside of ski field operating seasons AND after normal work hours WHEN THE GATE IS LOCKED.
  2. Avoid all stock by at least 50m in altitude
  3. Do not land in any paddock or areas with stock at all.
  4. Aspiring helicopters has moved their stagig point further south and closer to the hill.  If you are flying please consider contacting aspiring helicopters to let them know you are in the area.  03 443 7152

At present there is only one landing area (other than the normal PG one) that is ok to use.  This is the paddock on the left hand side of the road as you drive through the TC gate.

My number - 0211142776

Thanks
