Does anyone know if there is an insurance co in NZ that covers Paraliding for health/mortgage ?
Should I be worried my wife wants to take out life insurance/mortgage insurance on me....?

"This should not be a problem for recreational piots flying less than 20 hours per year."
That is so stupid. Recreational pilots only flying 20 hours a year have a much greater chance of a serious accident than pilots flying 200 hours a year, but try to tell that to those ignorant insurance companies...

I recently purchased income protection insurance with AMP that covers me for hang gliding accidents up to $250000, although if I don't learn to stay on my mountain bike I'll be making a claim from cycling.
Re: Life Insurance/Mortgage insurance
Hi Daron,
Good thought by your wife, give your wife a X'mas gift, get yourself insured.T
This should not be a problem for recreational piots flying less than 20 hours per year.
You will have to go through an adviser and quite a few companies can grant the insurance.
I work in insurance industry and as a PG pilot have managed to put in place the relevant cover on my life covering any eventuality from paragliding.
Give me a call or send me a mail I will put you on onto the right person.
Regards,
Anand
