Looks like a repeat of last Saturday. Sea breezes developing with a definite Easterly twist. Currently seeing nice cloud build up but drifting from the SE.
Due to other comittments Sunday was a no go, so I was pleased when it started out overcast with no wind. Tried not to look later when it cleared. The forecast looks the same again for next weekend, with a High sitting in the Tasman and S-SE for Auckland.
Se works at Kamo mate. Mike flew there yesterday with 5-7up thermals and was up in Whang today. Strong cores up to a 3,500ft base. Possibly could have gone XC but top landed instead. Flew for around 2 hours. Strangely enough the drift was from NE. Bumpy as hell at times with the seabreeze mixing in.
Re: Ground Hog Day?
Thinking about Sunday at all? Seems hard to pick at the moment, south-east again maybe, but MetService is picking south-west.
