On-Line Weather Stations

If you haven't already found these, here's a couple of On-line weather stations close to Moirs Hill which may help in your decision making.
Kakanui is WSW of Moirs out toward the Kaipara, just South of Bridges.

And the Kourawhero station is at the end of Wyllie Road around Dark Summit, NE of Moirs.

A couple of advantages over our Moirs station is that there is historic data which can help you decide if you made the right decision not to go, and you can see trends such as Wind direction or speed.

Windfinder.com
I'm using an iPhone application called Windfinder, which has Dill's, Moirs and a whole host of other PG sites. It also has a website - windfinder.com

Model Behaviour
Hi John
Yes I've got those as well.
The sites you mention on Windfinder are computer modelled, not actual Weather Stations.
Its the same data that Craig Payne uses on his site http://www.paraglidingmap.com.
Its pretty good but not actual, in fact I think Craig asked the Auckland Club, somewhere on this forum, if it was possible to get a data feed from our Weather Stations.
The Weather Underground looks like it might be able to do iPhone as well.

Tony

Where is the phone in weather station located at Kario?
