Visiting Pilot Between Christmas and New Year

Hello

I'm a Canadian paraglider pilot currently living in Australia. I'm thinking about going to New Zealand around New Year. Looks like you have lots of wonderful coastal sites. Would I be able to meet up with you guys to go flying?

You'll be welcome to join us for some nice summer flying. If you like coastal soaring then you'll love the miles of cliffs out at Karioitahi!

 

Leave another message on this forum closer to your arrival or contact one of the paragliding schools and I'm sure you'll be able to meet up with some pilots who can show you around.

I'm arriving the afternoon of Dec 25 and leaving the afternoon of Jan 1 (do you have a first flight of the year tradition?).

Yes we have some great coastal sites north and south of auckland.

if you are looking at some XC flying there is the NZ open round 1 in Nelson, from the 2nd of January.

great xc flying and a nice place to be around
