I am thinking of learning to paraglide.... Advice Please!
Hey all,
I am a 19 year old student living in Auckland and are looking for some sort of extra-curricular activity to do. I have always had an interest in paragliding and so am thinking of giving it a go. I have a few questions and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone could give their input.
1) I am thinking of taking a 1-day course to see if I infact do like it. From searching the net there seems to be 2 paragliding schools in Auckland: Skywings, and Wings & Waves... Which one of these (if any) would be better to potentially learn at?
2) What kind of age range do people normally paraglide in Auckland?
3) Is any clubs/groups that have regular meetings?
Cheers in advance.

Howdy. As to which school is
Howdy.
As to which school is best... I guess you'll be best adviced to meet both schools in person and make up your mind afterwards. Just see who you feel more comfortable with. They are both good schools.
Age group wise, I guess 20's/30's/40's....
There is the Auckland Club .. you have found our website, and we'll bump mostly into eachother flying somewhere around Auckland. You have a great area for all year around flying. From coastal soaring, to cross country and speed flying..
Good luck and see you in the air.
