Present: Xen, Leslie, Paddy, John, Brendon

Highlights:

  • Amendments to the club constitution passed at the AGM have been made
  • Members are to be polled for their preferred notification method as per the amended constitution
  • A working bee for the Kario track is to be organised
  • A tow committee is to be formed to plan the potential restoration and operation of a winch at Dury

Details:

  • The requested breakdown of membership figures into new and returning members has not yet been completed. Brendon to contact Carlos and follow up.
  • The amendments to the constitution passed at the club AGM have been submitted to and accepted by the registrar.
  • In order to conform with the new constitution we need poll all members of the club in writing requesting their preferred notification method. Xen will organise a mail-out to all members.
  • Brendon is to contact Carlos regarding this years donation to the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust, and the placing of a link to their site on the club website.
  • The Kario track is in fairly good shape, however there is some wash-out of the metal applied last season. There is a further opportunity to apply metal supplied for free by the Kario beach protection society, and this provides a great opportunity to also cut some cross-track drains to prevent further washout. John is to organise a suitable date and co-ordinate the delivery of the metal.
  • A 'tow committee' is to be formed from interested parties to further investigate the operation of the proposed winch at Dury. It will be tasked with coming up with a plan for operating the winch and holding the first tow meeting so that the club can confirm the operational issues have been fully dealt with before approving funding of the restoration project.
