NOTIFICATION OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

To be held at 6.30 pm, 7th Nov, The Loft, 4 Sir Peter Blake Parade, Bayswater, Northshore.

How do you know it’s the start of the season? It’s AGM time!!

This year we have decided to combine our Annual General Meeting and our start-of-the-season BBQ together in to one never to be forgotten event!

Once again, Wings and Waves have generously offered us the use of their facilities at The Loft. It’s a great spot to have a beer and a bite while watching the sun go down.

We will kick off the evening with the AGM agenda and move on to the BBQ as soon as we have things wrapped up.

This year there are a couple of extra things your club committee would like you to have a say about. That is nominations for the…

• “Flying Spirit” award for outstanding contribution by a club member to the activities of the club or in the sport of hang gliding or paragliding,
  and also the
• “Duck” (or should that be the, “oh, *uck !!” award) for the most noteworthy flying related “activity” that none of us would be proud to talk about!!

Award Nominations

Members are invited to nominate persons for these awards and briefly state their reasons on the nomination form on our website. Please submit a separate nomination form for each award.

Note you have to be a club member to submit a nomination and we have to grant member privileges to your web site account. Therefore, if you see a "Member sign-up" link at the top of the left hand navigation menu you need to click it and enter your details. Sign-up is immediate so you can then come straight back here to submit your nomination. If you don't see that link then we already know you are a member so carry on to the nomination form.

When the nominations are in a selection committee will be appointed to choose the winning candidates and make the presentations during the AGM to be held on 7 of November 2008.

Nominations must be received by 4th Nov. So get cracking. It could be you!
