What an Easter!!

To all of you that came to the Easter at the Paeroas club fly in...You lucky people! To everyone else that missed it, sorry you couldn't make it. Hope to see you there next year!

Four days of back to back flying, a few 30k plus xc's, 30 odd tents in the squash club grounds,  and a   bbq for about 65 people are the basic stats, but that in no way conveys how well the event went off.

Everyone cooperated with rides up to launch and retrieves, gate closing was carefully adhered to and HG's and PG's shared launch and the sky considerately. I'd like to thank all of you for making the event so succesful. We mustn't forget the owners of the squash club who allowed us to take over their site for the duration and the farmer who moved his livestock and also let us keep gates open on the last day.

A fun comp was organised by Brendon Roberts with points for reaching various waypoints that had pilots heading off in all directions, and a photo treasure hunt to keep us all searching for impossible items well in to the night. It certainly added an extra element of fun and some friendly rivarly to the weekend.

Thanks to your donations the squash will get a thank you card from all of us with a cheque for their slush fund. Likewise, the club, Wings & Waves and Skywings are putting together a donation and a thank you card for the farmer to show our appreciation.
